So much has happened since then - it was my Barkday and the shibas showered me with affection (although they did not make me a cake); the four of us got to stay home and do NOTHING for over a week; it snowed a lot; we ate a lot; and last night the shibas joined their dad in celebrating the NY Giants' victory over the Dallas Cowboys. This was a particularly monumental occasion in our house.
Unfortunately, the shibas haven't been able to post about ANY of this because their computer is on its last leg. Not even leg - more like toe. Pinky toe to be exact.
This has been very hard for them because they feel they've lost their only artistic outlet. Shortly after the computer became ill, Wiley began experimenting with painting pictures in the snow. He seemed less than enthusiastic about only having yellow to work with, so he gave up. Fievel took to performance art, but when her dad and I found her poop-flinging act to be gross, rather than hauntingly brilliant, she gave up, too. Now they just kind of wander around the house as if looking for something they've misplaced.
They send me to work each day with strict instructions to check on their friend Poppy's recovery; the operation effort to bring Beau home; Sophina la Brador's liver; and everything in between. I try to find time throughout the day to visit all of their friends, but I haven't been able to leave many comments. This has not made the shibas very happy.
On behalf of Wiley and Fievel, I apologize for our long absence from the blogosphere and we hope you're all well! The shibas will regain their artistic voice in a few days when their computer is back up and running. It should be interesting to see how they'll sum up these past few weeks! So, stay tuned! In the meantime - since a post without a picture just isn't a post - here are some oldies but goodies. There's nothing like shiba eye-candy...morning, noon, and night! I eat it up!

Thank the Shibas! You're back. Woo hoo! No more long breaks aloud. I laugh my a$$ off at your blog all the time, and your comments are pretty damn funny too. I just had a good old belly laugh at the frying pan comment.

p.s. The fur curling episode didn't last long. I made short order of those velcro rollers.
I mean allowed. Geesh. Give me a break! I'm a dog with a lame liver. What do you expect?
We've sure missed you!
We had no idea that you were NYGiants fans too! I guess your hoomans must be hoarse too from yelling at the TV! hehehe
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Hi guys,
Sounds like you had a great Christmas. Sorry about your puter!
We sure do miss you guys! I hope you get your computer back on at least a whole leg soon!
Glad you are back, hope to see lots more photos of you and catch up on all your news.
Simba xx
I was beginning to worry that you two were so into sprawling on the couch that you would never move. Glad you are ok and it is a "puter" thing. Humans hate that and they get all sweaty and worked up so hang in there.
It just about pains me to say it but I did miss you!!!
Hi guys! I haven't been in action for a long time too. But it wasn't because the computer was dying... It was because I was enjoying the winter holidays! I've been so busy I haven't had time to blog! But now I'm back.
Hope your computer gets better soon,
Sparky
Woo - good to hear you're all okay! (except for the computer...) I'm having problems with my girl and the computer too, so I feel your pain. And doesn't your mom know that poo-flinging is ALWAYS hauntingly beautiful (as well as tasty!)?! Silly moms....
What a relief that Santa came and you aren't still on the couch waiting for him to come. We were worried he might be stuck in the chimney! Hope your computer works soon.

Hi Shiba! Good to see you back. Our Mom's may need to go to a "How to be a better Dog Blogger class". I'll try & find one.

Not sure where you guys live but this poor little Shiba needs a new mommy & daddy!

Hi W&F!!
Hope you guys are doing well. At least you have a real excuse for not posting blogs, my mom had no reasonable excuse. Are you guys staying warm & demanding lots of treats? Yeah, I thought so!!
Looking forward to you all being back!
Nubbin wags,
Ginger
Can't wait to hear what you two have been up to. I'm so touched that you have been checking up on me. You're so sweet! By the way, I think we're going to need a video of this snow painting and poo flinging. :)

Hi Wiley & Fievel!
Thanks for stopping by our blog. Roux & I recently found your blog as well and have enjoyed reading it. Roux mostly just looks at the pictures though ;)
Ginger & Roux
Glad to hear from you and see the great pictures!
Life gets busy and one day turns into the next and you can't always get done what you want to get done.
We understand!
Okay, I'm going to nominate you two for Most Missed Blog. You guys are so funny. We need your raw, edgy brand of humour out here in blog land. Bring back the Shibas!!!
Please.
