UPDATE
Wiley was like a new man last night - even before he ate his gourmet dinner.
The problem seems to have fixed itself, but I will continue to keep an eye on him
and spoil him with extra petties and belly rubs.
Thanks to everyone for their advice and good wishes!
Fievel has made a full recovery, but Wiley is *still* under the weather.
He's been having digestive problems (ahem, diarrhea) since SUNDAY!
He's eating his normal food and acting fine otherwise, but shouldn't he be better by now?
I've heard that canned pumpkin is good for settling a dog's stomach, but the can I had
in my cabinet expired in April 2005 (guess I never got around to making that pumpkin pie!). I'm going to bring home a fresh can tonight, but how much should I give him?
Please leave a comment if you have any experience with this, or if you have ideas or advice
for other ways to help him. I really hope I don't have to take him to the dreaded V.E.T.!!!
Thank you, guys!

Oh No!!!! Poor Wiley.
I am feeling very, very sad about your "problems".
When my mom gets nervous she checks out that Internet Pet place.
There are lots of nervous moms on there and they all talk about their sick pets and figure out what to do. The horrid V.E.T. is the LAST RESORT.
I am thinking about you Wiley.
Hugs,
Hazel
Poor Wiley!! I'm gonna email your Mom with some suggestions.

Oh no Wiley! Diarrhea is no fun. Penny, Lola and Sherman's mom will have lots of suggestions for you. She knows lots. Joe Stain's mom also knows lots about pumpkin. Maybe she can help.
Big healing smoochies for you baby.

That doesn't sound like any fun at all. I don't have any experience with it, but yes, I do think that pumpkin helps. Maybe try a couple teaspoons of it each day.
This article seems informative:

Get well soon!
Are you drinking, Wiley? We keep reading disturbing stuff on our yahoo Airedale list about some gastro problem and the biggest thing is keeping yourself hydrated and getting to the vet so drink LOTS, okay! My mom is such a worrywort - so please drink, Wiley, and go see your doctor, okay!
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
Oh, Wiley! It's horrible to be so sick for so long... I really do hope you get better soon before you have to go to the V.E.T.!

Mom gives us a heaping tablespoon in our dry food to help soothe our tum mies and solidify things.
I hope he is feeling better soon.

Please give us some updates to Wiley's condition. He just breaks my kitty heart !!!
I really hope he feels better today.
Hugs,
Hazel
Now that is good news!!!
I much prefer Wiley getting caught peeing like a girl then Wiley being sick.
Hugs,
Hazel
I hope Wiley is feeling better soon! HM would probably advise a trip to the vet and I just hope you get better before it comes to that!!

Hi guys,
Sorry to hear that you have both been under the weather lately. We haven't heard about the pumpkin thing but hope that Wiley is better real soon.

Wiley,
I hope you feel better and I hope Fivel isn't stealing all your toys. If you need some backup protecting your toys, feel free to give me a wuff. Hopefully you won't have to go to the dreaded V-place.
Take care,
Mika
Poor Wiley. We hope you feel better and your tummy calms down. (Although you should play sick for a day or two extra just to get more attention)

OK Now. We all know that Wiley doesn't have the poops anymore.
Something else MUST be going on with the two of you, yes???? Fivey MUST be getting under Wiley's skin and Wiley MUST have some words of wisdom.
Come on now............UPDATE.....
Hugs,
Hazel
Wiley, we hope that everything was feeling much better now after some time to rest up. Thanks for the share. Have a good day and hope for better news next time we stop by.
