Staircase of Doom? . . .

Every night our humans go UP the staircase, completely lethargic and sad. The next morning they come DOWN the staircase, and they are just as lethargic and sad, but then they leave the house for hours at a time!!!

This ritual obviously doesn't make them happy, so why do they do it?

Maybe they should just stay on the stairs with us? We are not lethargic and we are not sad!

The humans really are a strange breed, aren't they?...

What awesome pictures! The hoomans need to figure out how to work from home, then they'll be racing up and down those stairs!

We hang out on the steps all the time, too! It offers the best vantage point for ensuring that any food being consumed, either upstairs or downstairs, must be shared!

I am trying very hard to think of something witty to say but my mom got up SO EARLY today because of the snow and the snow plows that my mind is a blank. My mind! Me, Hazel, goddess of the feline and a Hemingway of the blog.
So instead of being my usual witty self I will just get down (maybe because I am SO TIRED)and say that these pictures are ADORABLE. It may be lack of sleep but you two look so cute that I laughed out loud. Me, Hazel, laughing at dogs!!!!!
I am going back to bed.

We think you just need to get rid of the stairs. We don't have any stairs and our girl is not lethargic or sad. She does leave for hours (and hours) at a time though. Great pictures!

I like the stairs too. It's the only damn place I can go that that baby won't be climbing on me and it's right in front of the front door. That door opens, and I am just one jump away from freedom!

we don't have the stairs thingies anymore, but they still leave and return tired and sad... maybe its just the fact that they leave without us, because wehen we go with them they are not sad!

You are so insightful, Wiley and Fievel! I never made that connection, but it MUST be the stairs that do it! I think all humans should be required to sit on the stairs all day with us one day, and see how they feel. I bet they would be HAPPY and give us lots of TREATS and PLAY with us lots! It would be great!
