Theeeeeeee YANKEES WIN!!!!!!
The Yankees swept the Red Sox!!! I'm not sure exactly what that means . . . something about a broom and a pair of Dad's socks? All I know for sure is that it didn't involve the vacuum (I'll get you one of these days, Mr. Dyson!) and Daddy was in a very good mood, so we were both happy!
On another high note, I heard Mom and Dad talking about how they're going to be home for THREE WHOLE DAYS because it's some kind of howl-iday this weekend. You know what that means . . . lots of cuddling, lots of running in the yard, and (keep your paws crossed) LOTS OF CHEESE!!!
Haroooooo!

Serene
Um, do I have something in my nose?
And the "Caption Me" Winner is . . .
"I might be able to blame Wiley for this but I am not sure Mom will fall for it!"
Now *there's* the truth! Beneath the couch is Fievel's favorite place to hide things she's stolen . . . like my socks, bits of paper, things she's taken from the trash when we weren't looking, etc. She can try to blame Wiley but I'll never fall for it!
Thanks to everyone for playing!

Oh, deer.
Have you ever seen a deer? We have them in our yard all the time and, frankly, I am sick and tired of them pracing around and strutting their stuff on MY TURF. Well, if I can't go out there and chase them away, I will sit right here and intimidate them with my evil, black eyes. I will not relent!!!
Can you see the deer in the picture?

Fievel

Caption Me!
(A Day Late and a Dollar Short Edition)
I know I promised a new "Caption Me" post for Wednesday, but what can I say? Us humans have to go to work so we can bring home the bacon! (And the bones, and the goodies, and the cheese, and the POPCORN!)
Anyway, I welcome one and all to participate in this week's "Caption Me" contest.
Leave your best caption for this silly picture of Fievel in the comment section and we'll pick a winner within the next few days. As always, be creative and have fun!

More Cheese, Pleez!
Mom and Dad have these things called "Wine and Cheese Pawdies." I'm not really sure what it means, but there are so many aromas to explore. Sometimes I sniff the wine but it smells like that gunk I see Mommy painting on her nails. Yuck! None of that for me! But one thing I know for sure is that I *love* cheese - especially smoked gouda! C'mon, Dad. Gimme some.
How about if I look into the camera? Then can I have some?
I can't control myself! I need the cheese!!!
Ugh. Maybe next time. Put in a good word for me, will ya?

We Had a Sleepover Pawdy with Maddie!
Uncle Brett and Maddie came over on Saturday night for a sleepover pawdy! We had such a good time!
First, we sniffed her butt!
Then we kissed her!
But according to Mom, we annoyed her a little bit because we "wouldn't leave her alone."
So Maddie told us to go away and she took a nap. What can we say? She must not be able to keep up with us shibas!
It's no wonder! Neither can her dad!
We love you, Maddie and Uncle Brett! We hope to see you again soon!

This is GREAT!
My Daddy & Me
Fievel thinks she gets all the attention, but I've never seen her get this special treatment! One day last winter my Dad brought me up onto the counter and we had a shiba-shoot (that's shiba-speak for "photo shoot"). I just love my Daddy - and he loves me. Take that, Fievel!
Aren't we handsome?
Yes, we think so!
This is Mom's favorite picture.
Mom said, "Okay boys, off the counter now!"
Shiba-shoots are the best. I hope to do it again soon.

Of Mice and Shibas, Part Deux: The Proof is in the Closet
Did you think we were telling a tall tail when we said that a vile mouse has been stealing and hoarding pounds of our food? Well, here is a picture of a stash Dad found in the spare bedroom closet. Can you believe it?
This is one stealthy and determined mouse. Just wait until we get our paws on him! He'll rue the day!!!

Of Mice and Shibas
We have a mouse in the house! He steals our food and hides it in the most peculiar places (we're talking pounds of it...it must take him months!). We think he must do it at night while we're upstairs sleeping with Mom and Dad. But sometimes, if he's feeling dangerous, he'll scurry right across the kitchen in broad daylight! We got his friend Mortimer, and we're determined to get him, too! Here we are hunting and stalking our prey.

Is August the New October?
Mom kept telling us that it looks like October in Hoboken, where she goes to work every day so she can buy us goodies and bones. She took some pictures so we could see first-paw.
Oh, yeah! It looks like all the trees on the edge of the pier have lost their leaves!
This is a far away view of the park where Mom told us she spends her lunch hours reading and talking on the phone with Aunt Marcie. It looks like some of those trees are turning yellow, too!
Look! That's Mom's building! It looks like those trees are very dead!
We're happy Mom doesn't work over there anymore. (And look at the dead tree branch in the corner of the picture!)
Does it look like October where you are? Send us some pictures!
